Undergraduate Credit

High school students can receive credit for the Missouri S&T three-hour class Interdisciplinary Engineering 20, a freshman class required of all Missouri S&T engineering majors, through meeting these criteria:

  • Complete the two foundational PLTW courses from a PLTW certified high school
    • Principles of Engineering
    • Introduction to Engineering Design
  • Achieve a B average (80 percent or above) in both classes and a 70 percent on the end of class PLTW exam
  • Pay the $200 fee

This is a three-hour course, and a student paying "full fees" would pay approximately $1,000.
